The bulkhead seats will have the monitors in the arm-rests, which unfortunately have to be stowed away during take-off and landing. There are however several monitors around the cabin at ceiling level (and on certain walls) that will show the live shots as well.
Regarding the Dash8, I would strongly suggest a seat far forward (although not the first row if you have a lot of handluggage as you won't be able to stow anything below the seat in front and the overhead lockers are TINY, although the C/A's are often helpful and can often take care of a bag or two) or far back so as to avoid having the wing and propeller right outside your window.
It's quite a pleasant plane though...
