I have bought a ticket that was originally in pakistan rupees and was converted into canadian dollars. The (paper) ticket shows the CAD$ value I paid. Now, the C$ has appreciated vis a vie the rupee and if I were to buy the exact same ticket now, I would save almost C$300.

If I apply for a refund, will I be refunded the C$ amount that I paid for the ticket or the C$ equivalent of the fare in rupees? I would assume the former but my friend said he tried something similar and it was the latter. Can anyone confirm either way?
