It was one of those " anytime coach or saver level First" mileage redemption situations - 60K, your choice. I would still rather not be in coach....
Came back from SJO last week after a wonderful 5 day stay in the Arenal area with my SA. Flew PHL-CLT-SJO and back in FC. Boy was I disappointed!! No predeparture drink service on any of the intl. legs. We were on time on beautiful sunny days - so no "behind schedule" excuse. Leaving SJO for the flight back to CLT it took me over one hour after sitting down in 1D to grab a glass of water from a rather uninterested FA. I actually voiced my opinion regarding the miserable service and was told that this flight is a high milage redemption route. ...!!! I replied that the fact that I paid for my ticket with miles or $'s should not make any difference! BTW, my ticket was paid Y upgraded to FC. Service on #1586 from CLT to PHL was unbelievable^! This young girl in FC worked her butt off to keep everybody happy on this 1 hour flight. Another positive note was the luggage. Checked both ways, got priority stickers and received my bag promptly in SJO and PHL!!! Way to go!!
Have a great trip and enjoy CR....it's beautiful.
