They do not seem to be consistent about waiving the full $140. I called and complained yesterday. I threatened to cancel my card unless the full $140 was credited. They said they would put in another request and notify me in writing within 10 days. Are there any tricks to this that I should know?
I requested mine last week and received the following response:
Dear amartin1979:
All accounts opened after September 2006 will recieve the
$60.00 credit towards the annual fee. The partial annual
fee waiver is only offered to members that carry the
executive Premier (1K) status with United Mileage Plus.
