I am packing up three coolers tomorrow for an 8 hour flight, I travel often on 8 hour flights and I always have frozen items with me. I use extreme coolers that say they can keep items frozen for five days or so (wall mart has them I think coleman or such). On CO it's no problem to check them and they honestly do keep things frozen for over a day even on a plane.
