Lightbulb Have you seen a Deaf person on a plane before?

I know this may seem like a silly question, but it's surprising how many people have never ran into a Deaf person before. Know how I know? I'm Deaf, and many people who I've spoken to before said that they have never met a Deaf person in their lives before. Amazing.

While I'm on this topic, being Deaf on planes sometimes can be a bit awakard. The gate agents have tried placing me in the very front row, and asking me if I want to preboard, and even asking if I'd like an escort. Most of the time, I turn down their offers, and they back off gracefully... but sometimes I feel "spoiled" because I get special attention by cute flight attendants It's a bit annoying, sometimes, because I feel "singled out" and sometimes they try too hard to make sure I'm ok, if you know what I mean.

Anyway, I'm wondering if y'all have seen a Deaf person on a plane (or even talked to one by random), and what you thought. Do we act differently on planes? The same? And so on.

I'm excited to hear your insights!

Andrew
