One of the most highly annoying things to me is to be on a long flight with pax nearby who talk very loudly. My annoyance grows exponentially when they add alcohol to the mix.
This most recent flight involved a FA who was clueless and two guys whose language became increasingly loud and foul (not vulgar, just inappropriate language, etc) over the course of the flight. You better believe that everyone in F was steamed -- just as much at the FA as the offending pax.
It all got me to thinking about the oft-discussed (but never implemented) cap on drinks. Yes, it would unduly penalize those who are able to enjoy 4 drinks and keep their wits, but it would also prevent idiots like these from seeping deeper into a drunken stupor.
Am I all wet? Am I overreacting here? Your thoughts??
yes, all wet. but sadly, not alone. Nanny Sen. Feinstein is a sponsor of legislation to this effect...
FA's are already prohibited from serving the clearly drunk. If there have been problems with that, by all means complain to DOT and the airline, but don't be digging out the sledgehammer for a problem needing a tacking tool, messing with folks who can count and handle their liquor...
