We went fishing in JNU a few years ago. When we got back to shore we stored everything in a freezer at the hotel. AS said to pack it in a cooler with dry ice, but at the airport they told us dry ice could not go on our AA flight from SEA to BOS. A midnight trip to Safeway for icepacks, frozen peas, and carrots kept everything frozen solid for the long trip home. Keeping things frozen is definately doable, just make sure you check the rules of all airlines whose metal you will be flying on.

I've also bright Sonic back from Arkansas to New England in just an insulated lunchbag with a couple icepacks. That doesn't travel quite as well...
