Fair enough. Be sure to look at the award levels before you make the jump. Many people here believe there is little value in any of the extra perks until you hit the 120k level. So, make sure there is stuff out there that would make it worth your while for the level(s) that you expect to make.

I don't think CO gives preference to NW Plats over their own. Urban legend, IMO. Conventional wisdom states that all CO Plats get upgraded before NW Plats, but many people have empirical evidence that as a NW Plat, they were higher on the waitlist than other CO Plats. So, I guess I don't know if there is an answer for certain.
