Does Airtran have 24-hour free cancellation like some other airlines?
I know there are several airlines which allow for a penalty-free, full-refund cancellation of a trip booked on their web site, within a varying (short) time period...i.e. 24 hours from booking, until midnight of the day booked, etc.
Does Airtran have any such freebie period at all? Searched their web site and could not find one. I suspect if I call I will be told no even if the answer is yes, on the theories that (a) CSRs are more likely to give misinformation if it allows them to get rid of the caller quickly and (b) Most erroneous information given by CSRs favors the company, not the pax. So, does anyone have any experience/information one way or other?
Thanks.
