Usually, when an aircraft landed, people allready start to get into the best position do get out of the plane asap. Now, does it make really make a difference or is it just the feeled time that makes everyone (including me) thinking that it takes hours until you are back on mother earth?
Being a very impatient New York I have timed how long it took to unload a USAir 737 and USAir 320 (sitting in the next to last row for both flights). Both times it took less than ten minutes. This is one time when time seems to crawl when it really does not. So just sitting waiting for all others to deboard really might take an additional five minutes or so. But as a NY I just can't wait (even when I have luggage to claim so there is no real advantage to me).
