I have a friend who's about to graduate from college. As a sendoff, he wants to visit Argentina. The best fare I can find, even using what appears to be a consolidator, is ~ $1100-- more than he wants to pay. Any suggestions on finding a better deal? I am not familiar with any of the South American airlines, so I don't have a good feel for routings or tricks that might shave a few bucks off the fare.
