You cannot drive to Alexander Creek. It's a short (20 minute) flight from Lake Hood.

Remember that all Alaska flight arrangements are 'weather providing'. If you have a firm and fixed date that you have to fly out of Alaska or a boat to catch, you might have problems. In fact, expect delays and plan waiting time. Part of life in Alaska.

That's why some people have to stick to fishing situations they can drive to. No fly in service will promise you a date and time in or out. If they do.....move on to another one.
Flew into Alexander Creek with Regal on 6/2 and out on 6/5 for $140 r/t. base rate. Top notch operation! They gave us a ride back from dropping off our rental car on 6/2 and provided us with phone and internet services to arrange our next rental on 6/5. FTR they allow 70 pounds per person with a 50 cents/pound charge over that. Even with all our gear and beer we only incurred $30 extra for three of us.

Unfortunately the King Salmon fishing in Alexander Creek is dying out. Apparently the Northern Pike have taken over and eaten most of the King eggs. Several lodges are saying they are closing after this year and the state may close the creek to fishing as well.
