On our UVF-ANU flight this year the 777 went up like a Harrier from a skijump!
When we arrived at ANU about 20 minutes early the crew taking us onward to LGW hadn't arrived. The crew invited us to the cockpit for a chat. I talked about the take-off and they admitted that the hops were new to them and they were having some fun with the takeoffs. They had set the outside temp to something much higher to boost the thrust hence the elevator type departure.
