What is your friend's budget? What will she be doing in the city? Is she working or going to school? Where? Are their other parts of the city that she will be going to regularly? I guess you are right. It doesnt look like the right place to get this solved

Anyways your info helped me to understand what a huge place even a single part of NY is. I havent been there before except for occasional meetings in a smaller suburb.
