First, thanks to the OP and all of the successive posters to this topic. Most of the 1st day of operations and the difficulties reported by the OP are a result of weather and weight & balance.

Second, in direct response to the quote above, NW scoop knows one of the in-flight trainers on a personal basis. They have been training well in advance of delivery of the new CRJ900. All areas of the company have been or are currently receiving training. We will not operate any aircraft unless we are doing so safely - including docking procedures.

Overall, our first day of operations went about as smoothly as can be expected. Customer response has been very positive and employees working with these new AC are excited to have them enter the fleet.
