At LAX, all Mr. Chicken machines (that I have interacted with recently) have been "enhanced" to spit out only the thermal paper. It appears that flimsy paper machines are now at every LAX United gate too (at least in T7).
Last month, in addition to thermal paper at LAX, I got slightly firmer, but non-gold paper at IAD (not cardstock). I think the gold is going...hope I am wrong.
With the new thermal BPs, there is no perforation to stick a clothes hanger through for garment hanging in First Class. Attempts to do this with the thermal BP destroy it. How much money is this enhancement saving UA?
