Thirty years and not married? Sounds like someone has commitment issues. Also a fear of intimacy if United keeps sending others. Time to get the hint and make United work for it. If United wants to take you somewhere, tell him "Sorry, too late, I already made plans with Delta." United may not get the hint, but at least you won't feel so disappointed anymore!
