I am missing Silver as I am on 9 nights (and after repeated emails to Asia HHonors with no help forthcoming even when all my stays are planned) as I checked out of the Shanghai Hilton a day earlier than planned so I could get home sooner after a un-fun couple of weeks in Beijing/HKG/Shanghai.

With a room rate of GBP136 (assuming that includes VAT) - I think after 6 nights I will have the US$1200 cost incurred required to hit Gold.

Hmm - I will need to spend about GBP609 whilst I am there to push me to Diamond - hmm GBP33/night on room services seems reasonable - plus internet and laundry

I really never thought I would make toptier in a Hotel program until I really started to focus this year - and defaulted to Hilton due to teh booking my colleagues in the UK made for me.

Its a good room rate as well - it already includes breakfast and dinner on the first night
