[QUOTE=redshift27;7880212] Get the right outbound flight and
any return flight, then watch the return availability closely over the next week or two until your chosen flight appears, and phone BA and change the return date on the ticket for free.
Didn't realise that I could do this. So if I book day 1 out, day 2 return and subsequently my preferred return doesn't open up can I cancel altogether and book another, less popular, destination?
Many thanks for all for the replies. You are all :-: s. Gives me lots to mull over including adding to the Tesco wine lake to get those extra miles in order to do one sector in F if needs be (anyone notice that you just end up drinking more and more .......). Will probably be in a wine induced stupor come day -350
Better still BA will award lots of bonus miles for travelling domestically! I've already managed 30000 this year but another few wouldn't hurt!
