IF you were buying same-day on a one-way basis, then you might consider saying "no changes/no baggage". Anything that is further down the timeline, anything can happen, so you have to be prepared to live with the fact that you might lose hundreds for having wanted to save $5. Only once did somebody say "oh no, I definitely won't be taking any baggage"....then said, a day prior, "now I have to take XYZ with me"....and the excess baggage fee was far superior to what he "saved".
