Used to be -$5 and -$7 ...
I hold a super special T reservation YUL-YYZ for next weekend. $5 + $7 = $12 x 2 = $24. Nice discount on $59 fare per segment!

Once more, I had no particular need to travel but the very low fare advertised minus the discount + a chance to earn HH Gold made it worth my effort, time and $$$.

Perhaps for a business traveller, both the discount and T and T+ fares are not the ideal option.
