But if you don't explain that you need it for the 5000 mile bonus, they'll fix it alright: By posting one mile separately as a "customer serivce adjustment" or whatever. There, you'll have the mile, but you won't have the spend minimum fixed, and thus you still won't qualify for the 5000 mile bonus. (It's always easier for such orgnaizations to issue a separate adjustment than to go back and change a posted transaction. So if you don't explain to the why you need the latter, they'll do the former.)

So since because of the 5000 mile bonus you need it fixed in a particular way, that's why you have to explain that's why you need it.
