I regularly travel on an AA 763 between MAN-ORD and to be honest I find the coach cabin quite comfy and if you are in coach with one world status see if they can get you in the coach mini cabin I find it to be less noisy and a little more private in there.

Actually the first row of what the crews call the"twilight zone" is where the families with lap children are placed. That is due to the plug-ins on the bulkhead for the onboard bassinets. Also, the lavs directly behind row 13AB and 13HJ are used frequently, and it seems that passengers still don't get the idea that they don't have to slam the door to close it.
