There's also DEN-FRA-LHR or DEN-MUC-LHR on LH to consider (maximizes sleep-time but subjects you to the horrors of LH Y if you can't upgrade).

Looking at the same trip myself next month, and I will probably choose ORD to, as noted by UNITED959, maximize time on 777's (for 21H/J) and UA metal (any E+ seat) since my new company won't buy C TATL. The IAD-LHR flight is just too short to get any reasonable sleep on if I have to work upon arrival.

I won't even mention the non-stop BA flight, lest i get stricken from the UA board.
