SAS-Spanair

The EU Commision has by a decision of March 5, 2002 approved SAS
increased shareholding in Spanair S.A. from 49% to 74%.
The decision clears the transaction, which now may be closed and
completed.

Gunnar Reitan Executive Vice president & CFO of the SAS group says:
" Spanair has a competitive cost position and with this as a platform we
will now focus on streamlining network and enchance revenues. The
completion of this transaction will ensure the successful execution of
Spanair's measures to improve profitability and thus capture Spanair's
long term potential.
