Do you have elite status on AA? And what cabin will you be flying in?
Main Cabin without status: The average 767 seat is better than the average 777 seat, except the 777 has better entertainment
Main Cabin with status: The best seats on the 777 (31 AB or 31 HJ) are much better than the best main cabin seats on the 767.
Business Class: The 767 is much better than the 777
First Class: The 767 does not have this cabin, so the 777 is the only choice.
... I alreay booked FRA/ORD/LGA but I didn't know, FRA/ORD was by B767!
If it is already ticketed, you are stuck with what you booked, unless you want to pay a big change fee. Typically the change fee is $200 per ticket.
