A few decades old????? I'm sure the Ritz Carlton wasn't even built the first time I went to Hong Kong way back in......... 1992 - and now its closing!
Reminds me of the, was it Hotel Victoria?, that was open for all of about 5 years before they closed it and turned it into office space.
Is there anywhere in the world that turns around its hotel space as fast as Hong Kong? I'd be surprised if the RC has made it to 12 years!
Reference to the MO, I'd heard a few years back there was talk of it closing to make space for office blocks with a rebuild closer to the waterfront, even possibly on Kowloon - I guess that's now come to pass - well I guess for at least the next 5 years
