As I am sure others who travel or used to travel into Linate can confirm, the airport is fogged in frequently at this time of year. In the past, I have been diverted to Bergamo more than 50% of the time. I had heard that the airport had purchased ground radar several years ago but it was sitting in crates, still waiting to be unpacked.
