Because there are flights that have Q bookable via AA.com, but seatcounter shows nothing, not even "Q0". Looks like the same can be said about O fares from my very unscientific survey.

Well definitely not for their flexibility and convenience! But the price is right, and unfortunately thats whats important to me in this situation. It was just an observation I made, and I figured someone here was bound to have a good explanation to satisfy my curiosity.
