Just want to let you know that we wound up in the Berlin Zoo on my husband's birthday (it was a holiday and almost every other tourist attraction was closed). It has a nice little restaurant with good beer - mediocre food. He enjoyed a couple of beers there while we watched a holiday concert. I think they were weiss beers. Weiss (wheat) beer here in Germany is very different than what we have in the United States - and my husband enjoys it here a lot more than in the US. In the evening - he enjoyed weiss beer in the hotel.

We've been here in Germany for a little over a week now (Berlin and Munich) - and he has sampled many beers. Both draft beer and bottled beer. He has yet to find one he likes more than the one he usually drinks at home - Dogfish Head 60 Minute IPA (India Pale Ale). But he'll keep looking . Tomorrow we are off to Cologne. Robyn
