Please be advised that as soon as our inventory permits us our upgrade policy for Royal Ambassadors will be as follows:

Room Type booked ---> Upgrade
Inner Court ---> Royal Park Executive
Mayfair ---> Royal Park Executive
Royal Park Executive ---> Studio Suite
Studio Suite ---> One Bedroom Suite including Club InterContinental Lounge access

We will not upgrade Royal Ambassador Members to access the Club InterContinental Lounge unless a suite rate is booked.
It appears the hotel is now enforcing the upgrade policy above. For a limited time they seem to have been upgrading RAs to one bedrooms suites from Mayfair/Royal park executive rooms. No more....

One catagory upgrades for RAs (e.g. Mayfair to RPE) is not enough to swing booking decision making in London. IMHO. Particulary when the compensation is a £20 room rate reduction if even that meagre upgrade is not available.

Pity. Hopefully they will review policy in due course.

A certain Oceans 13 star was staying in this suite on the 8th floor last week. He was having a little trouble with the main door (multipe workman fiddling with the hinges....)
