TD/CT will put a US address on the account which sends the statements to the Canadian address but makes the US address acceptable.

Citibank only has one address per account, you can change it to a US address but the paper statements go there too.

Only tried with U$ Visa and U$ MC, respectively.

And some online vendors will take one but not the other, e.g. Circuit City (order online for pickup) would only take one while others would only take the other. Most take either card.
