A question on connecting in SLC as I have only once been to and connected in SLC before and then it was from one D gate to another D gate: I will be connecting from an ATL flight apparently arriving at either C or D gates to a SkyWest flight leaving from E gates. How do I get from C or D to E ? Can I walk or is there a bus/monorail transfer system ? What time should I expect to make the connection - my layover time is 40 minutes and I am wonderiung if this is not a bit optimistic by DL's time planners. Any info/insights/advice would be greately appreciated.
The E gates are only a short walk from the point where the D gates intersect with the hallway that connects to the C gates. I'd say 10 minutes would be more than sufficient to get from even the end of the C gates to the E gates walking at a slow pace. In my experience, there are many 30-min connections in SLC, and unless the incoming flight has a delay of over a few minutes, there isn't really a problem. SLC is a small, easy to use airport.
