The cost to be a SAS Gold member
I think in respect of how much it costs to be a gold member the added value is minimal
if you eg travel between CPH and OSLO the price of a regular business is 4.500 KR (550 USD) you get 2400 points return flight. You need 100.000 point (Scandinavian members) to become Gold Member. That means you have to spend approx 180.000 KR or 22.500 USD to become member for only one year. Once a Gold member there is no discount on Award travel so you can use your Points for one return trip economy, one person to New York for 70.000 points, which is for sale for 3.800,- KR (475USD)on SAS.
I think you should pay less points for travel if you reach gold status, as a reward for their key customers...'
