3 hrs is more than enough to make good use of the FCT.
When traveling alone, most pax prefer the 340 due to the availability of single seats. With company, the 744 usually wins due to the exclusive uppder deck feeling.
Also, the 343 and 346 are 10% slower than the 744, so your flying time is about 10% longer. This can be a good thing on night flights, as it extends your opportunity to get some valuable sleep after dinner.
