In the end, it took me two calls to TC Gold management to have my status upgraded manually. They said that it should have happened earlier automatically, but for some reason my account was left out.

But the person I spoke to was really friendly and competent and also sent me a fax confirmation so that I can use the new perks before the cards are being sent out.
