I am new to PC, so have a question about earning points.

A call center representative told me that pre-paid non-refundable booking at Orbitz/Travelicy does not earn any points at PC. Is that right? Can they earn 10,000 bonus points for 5 nights stay and 2,000 points for every second night?

I am going to book 10 nights in China. Since both Orbitz and Travelocity has $50 off, I want to take the advantage of that. However, if it does not earn PC points and bonus points, I have to forgo the $50 off and book at PC's website.
