I usually just go with the flow and try to stay under the radar. But the "thoroughness" of the inquisition is quite absurd. I can't recall seeing anywhere in the requirements for entry to the USA that says I am required to be able to prove where I stayed the night before I departed for the LOTFAP. And what does it matter to the AA check-in people who I work for or the purpose of my visit to the LOTFAP. That is information for me to share with the USA Customs and Border Security agent when I submit my I94W form for entry processing.
