I've been wondering that... about myself! In Y+ the rtn SYD-AKL-LAX-LHR is only AUD$700 more than just to LAX....

Next trip (after the one already booked!) I might come home via LHR and HKG.....

It doesn't earn a lot more Airpoint $... not surprisingly really... but it would make a change on a trip I've done a dozen times.....

And thankyou Shareholder... that was very interesting... makes sense to me!
