While I as an AKL based *A flyer would like to see cheaper fares on Air NZ, But I don't see how any fare can be described as "overpriced" - in a market economy somethings price (not value) is really only based on 2 things, what you (customers) are willing and able to pay for something. I assume Air NZ are selling tickets at these prices, why would they lower them, consumers need would need to stop buying them to for decease in price to occur.
That aside, there are allot more factors to consider when comparing airlines, sure the seats an miles etc, but also lounges, frequency, in irregular opps, the more frequent a carrier on a route, the better you chances of minimum delay.
