Safe in the T1 F lounge now. Although BA 66 was on time AND we drove right to a stand, no waiting , it still took us a full hour to get from touchdown to T1. I'm glad I switched to the earlier flight--if BA 68 had been even a few more minutes delayed, or had to wait for a stand, it would have been very tight indeed.

In the event, we got here in time to potentially catch the earlier (delayed) BA flight to ATH, but Mr. travelmad478 had made the error of checking his bag, so we couldn't do that switch. No matter, this way I get a shower, we both get a nice breakfast, and no anxiety. (I keep after him to rationalize his luggage practices, but he can't seem to manage it!)
