I stayed here for one night a couple of days ago. Overall, it was a good stay.

Location:
The hotel is located just outside the beltway (495) in between Lee Highway (29) and Route 50. The hotel is approximately 25 minutes from Dulles Airport or Reagan, and about 40 minutes from DC (with traffic - 15 minutes without). The area around the hotel is booming - within walking distance is a movie theatre, Sweetwater Tavern (excellent brewpub with great food), Chevy's (Mexican), Pizzeria Uno, and right next to the hotel, the Silver Diner. It was easy to get on and off all the major highways in the area.

Room:
Your standard HS room. They did appear to have some "special" suites on the 2nd floor, but I was not offered any of these an upgrade.

Amenities and extras:
There was the standard dinner Mon-Thurs at the hotel (salad bar, drinks, cookies, entree - beef and chicken burritos with nachos on my day). Breakfast was served daily from 6 am (hard boiled eggs, cereals, pastries, fruit, pancakes, biscuits). I was disappointed at the evening dinner that there was no alcohol of any kind.

The workout room was okay (2nd floor) but I did see a sign that you can use Gold's Gym as a guest at the hotel. The pool looked nice - you could do laps and it went to 5 feet. The lobby was nice, with newspapers for the taking and a fruit basket.

HHonors recognition:
Not much (but what can you expect from HS?). I did get two bottles of water and some cookies in my room, though.... even though I'd selected 250 bonus points. (Which I'm not sure if I'll get).

I stayed here mostly to be near a colleague's house, but it would certainly make a fine stay in DC if you were with the family. On the weekends, the commute into town really wouldn't be too bad.
