I am not sure if the above is the case, I was on less than 500 status miles, and took around 24,000 miles of flight in a weekend with kiwi flyer, all my miles just posted yesterday, I am now silver, and have an entry called: "Upgrade - miles adjustment" with over 8,000 miles, they are under "mem" but not reflected in my new total yet, I think they will come in over night, if that's the case, I will be able to confirm that its 16k for silver not 19k.
Will keep you updated, but looks like good news, fingers crossed.

Unless you were already 'blue-plussed' in April, or your flights were taken before April, the official position, as confirmed by
diamond club in
this post is that you need 3+16 to make it to Silver from scratch. If you happen to have been promoted for less, rejoice in the pleasure of knowing that you have got something you shouldn't have had.
