ugg... This debate again...

I'm really glad all of you who recommend "choosing your seat way in advance to avoid situations like this" always get your upgrades cleared for 2 persons and also never have to change your plans. That's how you miss out on an upgrade...

It's easy to get an upgrade for one 1K, but when your wife with lower status is on the flight, it's a very different story...

If the guy asked nicely, of course I would have switched seats. The bulkhead seats are not that bad on either the A320 or the 75. There's no way it will be uncomfortable unless you are 6.5..

I don't believe in the "stand your ground, get what you deserved/booked" attitude. Being a little nice will always pay you back when you are in a pinch..

If he asked rudely, it would be a different story
