Has anyone stayed at the Banyan Tree Bangkok, and can compare it to the IC, Oriental, FS, etc.? I visit Thailand several times a year, and have stayed at a handful of hotels in Bangkok, as well as hotels in Udon, Korat, Pattaya, and Hua Hin. In many cases, I don't have a choice where to stay because the nature of my business includes, in part, evaluating the hotel from a guest's standpoint. But, given a choice in Bangkok, I like the Banyan Tree. From the driveway to the Vertigo, the staff is friendly and helpful, the suites comfortable and actually conducive to working, the spa is great, and the fitness center is more than an afterthought. They really seem to sweat the details, and I've never experienced any kind of glitch while staying there...
