Group Airport Transfer in Orlando

I am taking a group of our youth (12 people total) to convention in Orlando this July. I am trying to work out how to get from the airport to our hotel (Fairfield Inn Marriott Village). We only need a one-way transfer, because our last day excursion already includes transport back to their airport. Because of this, the "negotiated rate" with CPS is not a great deal.

So far, I can find four different methods of getting from the airport to our hotel, and I am looking for input as to which would work best for us...

1. Rent a full-size van at the airport & drop it at the DoubleTree Hotel (less than 1/2 mile from ours). Current cost through Budget- $137.64 with taxes, plus gas cost. I am uncertain about going this route, because I will have to be the one to drive, as I am the only chaperone over 25. Is it hard/confusing to get around Orlando? Plus, I am not sure if our luggage will all fit.

2. Take a shuttle- simple, but not cheap. Mears wants $17/person for a one way transfer, CPS wants $18. Total of $204.

3. Hire a van & towncar. Through Tiffany Towncar, we can get a 10 passenger van and a 4 passenger towncar for $125 plus gratuity ($25)= $150. I also found an "Access Line Transportation" that is slightly cheaper (http://www.altransportation.com/menu_principal.php) but I am leary of booking with someone I just googled. My main concern with this route is what happens if our flights are late? Is there usually a charge?

4. Just take taxis. There are 3 adults in this group, so we could break up into 3 groups of four. The fare estimator on the Mears Transportation website estimates the fare at $34.31 per car, for a total of 102.93 plus tip, if that's accurate, we don't get stuck in traffic, etc. However, if we can get van taxis, might we be able to get into only two taxis? (The MCO airport website says that taxis can carry up to 9 people.)

I know that this group always says "Just rent a car!" but we don't need it with the convention that we're at, plus it is cost prohibitive due to either having to rent a full size van or pay underage fees for the other driver.

Thanks for your help!
