FWIW, Not getting the benefit of comped rooms is pretty common when traveling on business. You have an issue, your employer gets the benefit. If the issue affects me personally and is unrelated to the charges on the bill, I tend to ask for points in lieu of rate reductions. Absent knowing the details, I'd split the savings.
