Immediate family is defined as spouse and children under 21 for the purposes of the AmEx PC access. I have been denied twice with my wife, sister and brother in law - once in EWR and once in ATL. They are following te rules, so I didn't push it too hard, but it was annoying. CO still gets paid the $16/person coming in, and the lounge wasn't that crowded either time.
