No - these fake "direct" flights are two entirely separate flights from an operating point of view. and their likelihood of waiting for you is just as high or low than if you have a normal connecting flight on two flight numbers. Different of course for real direct, one-stop flights like the LX ZRH-BKK-SIN, which is operated by the same aircraft.
